Last month there were some more terrible floods in Pakistan. AGPS schools were caught up in them, and several schools were washed away. Buildings loaned to us by the owners of mud brick factories are no more, as also all equipment being kept at the schools. Nothing remained. Most of the students—both children and adults—were rescued by small boats but lost all their books and bags. It is with sadness that I have to report that it is now confirmed that five of our adult students died in the flood, being washed away by the raging waters. [Brother John 02/06/2026]

An amazing landmark this month: total number of students has risen dramatically to over 1,000. This has required more teachers, more classes, more textbooks, more mats, more of everything. The annual replacements of all textbooks alone now stands at over £2,000 and you can imagine I am much in prayer for this great need. Over the years, we have received hundreds of photos and videos from Pakistan. Unfortunately, I am not able to upload videos to this website, so I am having to be content with photographs. Each week I put more up. To see videos, please go to the AGPS website at https://amazinggraceprimaryschools.org and see more info. [Brother John 20/05/2026]

All chapters (fifty-nine) of my series of articles on the many roles of the Lord Jesus Christ are now uploaded and edited. I may do some fine tuning or minor editing, but I intend now to focus on news concerning the mission work in Pakistan, where Amazing Grace Primary Schools is working wonders, when you consider the limited finances available. But with God, much is possible, as we have discovered. [Brother John 14/05/2026]

My series of articles on the Lord Jesus is slowly being edited and uploaded to the site. Also, I am working on the events surrounding my involvement with Christian brothers and sisters in Punjab, Pakistan, helping them to fulfil their hopes and dreams and prayers for their poorer Christian friends. Amazing Grace Primary Schools is still functioning, and it provides well over 700 children with a good education, including Bible knowledge. I am putting all such articles on the menu called ‘About’; just trying to simplify things! [Brother John 05/05/2026]

A contact form is now in place, and I hope it works. It is positioned on the Home page, so simply scroll down to it and fill it out to send me an email. [Brother John 13/04/2026]

This week I rediscovered a series of articles I wrote in the late 90’s about the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Collectively, I called it Jesus: Man of Many Titles. I wrote it for my own benefit, and it was truly edifying. I have decided to make it available here on my site for anyone to read. The editing will take a couple of weeks, for when I wrote it, all was in the King James Version, and I will replace all texts with the Modern English Version 2014. Also, I am going to make a Contact page somewhere on the site so that anyone can communicate with me by email. I am still working on the article about the work in Pakistan, to which I have dedicated my whole life. [Brother John 13/04/2026]

At last Psalm 1 has been uploaded with music backing, and I am fairly happy with the result. Now I am working on the potted history of how it came about that I became involved with setting up a charity to help the poorest brothers and sisters in Christ in Punjab, Pakistan. [Brother John 09/04/2026]

The tract “Who is Jesus” has been translated into Urdu and sent to Pakistan. To save money on printing, I came up with this idea: all the children will be given an extra exercise book especially for Bible related notes; the teachers will write up on their whiteboard the tract line by line, and the children will copy it into their book. As time goes on, more tracts will be added, and hopefully the gospel will be understood and responded to by many of the young people. Psalm 1 with music by myself is almost ready to upload and should be in place by the weekend. [Brother John 07/04/2026]

The editing on my testimony is now complete, and I hope the Lord uses it to help others into a salvation experience. Regarding the loudness of the psalms, I am still unsure how best to render the tracks. The AES recommends -16 to -20 LUFS for all streaming, and the ACX makes it mandatory for audiobook submissions to be between -18 and -23 RMS. And so, I will continue with -23 LUFS when I upload psalm 1 complete with music and see how that sounds. The tract, “Who Is Jesus” was written for young children in Pakistan, and it has been translated into Urdu for the benefit of those children who attend one of the Amazing Grace Primary Schools. More about that later. [Brother John 23/03/2026]

One more psalm uploaded. It is only 23 seconds long, but it is still the word of God, and therefore profitable to God’s people. An easy one to memorise! I am also still editing my testimony, especially taking out any unnecessary detail. [Brother John 12/09/2025]

I have completed the full account of how I came to know the Lord in January 1979. It will still need some editing, but it is most readable in its present state. I do hope that I have exalted the Lord with my words; this was my intention, and He is deserving of all praise that I am a Christian, rather than what I previously was, an ungodly sinner. [Brother John 13/08/2025]

Having listened to the result on my mobile phone, I have decided to reduce the output level of all psalms to a quieter setting of -23 LUFS, which is the EBU R 128 standard for broadcasting (radio and television in Europe). This is what I will continue to use for all the psalms, being happy with the sound at this level. I am also working on my own musical compositions and am currently recording a backing track to use on Psalm 1. It will be unobtrusive but hopefully enhance the word of God. Also, I have Psalm 148 in hand, and also Psalm 100, which is a most wonderful psalm. [Brother John 31/07/2025]

Two new psalms uploaded, which are Psalm 1 and Psalm 41. At the same time, I have deleted all the music backing tracks and am concentrating solely on the word of God spoken, without any distraction. I have also brought the LUFS integrated level to about the same as the Morning and Evening Prayer services which are streamed daily from the Church of England website. I hope that now it will be settled and consistent, at about -18 LUFS. This is the general standard for podcasts, so that if anyone goes from a YouTube video or a podcast to my website, they should not have to change their volume much on their device, if at all. If anyone is also interested in the change in reverb I have made to all tracks, I have gone from a 0.9second room reverb to a 2.57 second plate emulation reverb, using the Valhalla Room Reverb plugin. [Brother John 09/06/2025]

Currently I am replacing all seven uploaded psalms, with newly mastered versions of them. The reason for this is, I was not happy with the loudness of the tracks, and so have changed the render to -16.0LUFS. In today’s world, and with streaming being relatively new, there is actually no set-in-stone standard for mastered works, except in broadcasting and TV, and even that is changing slowly. But I am hoping that my recordings of the psalms will sound better, now that I have changed the loudness of each track. [Brother John 19/05/2025]

I will shortly be sharing what I am involved with at the present, namely, the revival of a charitable work in Punjab, Pakistan, where the children of the poorest Christian families in the region receive, wherever possible, a free primary school education, along with all needed textbooks and other items. Some children are being cared for in foster homes, and all children are receiving spiritual education by way of Bible verses to memorise etc., as well as being regularly shown evangelistic films on a large screen. The name of the Christian charity is Amazing Grace Primary Schools (AGPS) and for me it began in 2018 when the Lord called me to help out with the work. [Brother John 12/05/2025]

The site is up and running, and all is well so far. I have recorded and uploaded seven psalms, which are Psalm 2, Psalm 3, Psalm 4, Psalm 23, Psalm 30, Psalm 40 and Psalm 99. These are all recorded on my DAW (Reaper)using my Shure SM58, and I have used suitable backing tracks downloaded from the internet. Notifications of new psalms will appear here every time one is uploaded to the site. Also, I am writing a bit about myself and how it is that the Lord God revealed His love to me in Jesus Christ, remarkably making me into a Christian in 1979. This section is not completed yet, but you can read what it says thus far by going to About/Testimony. [Brother John 09/05/2025]
